pms... Im starving!!! but I have ibs... and it sucks!

Ok. Im sure Im not the only one but here's the deal. I get MAD cravings for anything with TONS of calories during the week running up to my af. The thing is I have ibs, not sure if anyone else has it here or can offer advice but its pretty severe and I know its different for everyone. But it sometimes means for me that I fill up pretty quickly, feel full after just a few bites, and even feel extremely uncomfortable after a meal, to the point where Im laying there crying in agony... its that bad sometimes. Another thing is that food tastes wierd and sometimes... feels like some foods burn my tongue... Chocolate, strawberries, well anything tbh. Now, if one doesnt have advice for the ibs part, thats ok, bc I also dont want to put on any weight. Im not trying to lose any weight but I dont want to be putting it on either. What foods do you gorge on, assuming you have the starving issue during pms. Yesterday I ate a massive bacon sandwich, with salad, and I felt fine, pretty much. For dinner, however I ate beef stew and that nearly killed me, lol. Today Im eating bits and bits of food throughout the day, but I can feel my stomach not liking it very much.

If you could let me know foods that have a high caloric content, but low in fat, maybe? I dont know how to go about satisfying my monstrous appetite during pms with ibs... this just sucks! two issues here, I know. If you just tell me what helps you stave the cravings during pms, then I can work out a 'routine' or something with regards to the ibs... tia

I don't have IBS but I have intestinal parasites and candida that has pretty similar symptoms. I am always hungry and have cravings even though my stomach always hurts and I fill up quickly.

I find eating alot of fat helps. My top picks are butter and ghee, coconut oil, olive oil, fatty meats like bacon, avocado, nut butters, fatty meat stocks. Fat gets in plenty of nutritious calories to satiate you will smaller amounts of food. 1/4 cup of avocado has much more calories and fat than 1/4 cup of applesauce.
And if I don't have room for a volume of food to get in enough calories for the day, I can easily drizzle some olive oil on my dinner and add another 100 calories.

And eating fat won't make you fat contrary to mainstream advice. I eat 150 grams of fat per day and at 5'2 am only 95 lbs (well, parasites have something to do with that, but I've always been thin eating this way). It's just by eating satiating fats that I can get in enough calories with small portions.

Hope you feel better!

thank you very much nicolelyn. Ive been so contientious about 'getting fat'. So you saying that helps. I eat a pretty healthy/low fat diet so Im hoping that during pms if I bulk up on calories and fat, it wont be such a big deal. Thanks for your advice.:
