Hello all-
We have gotten quite a number of replies from the email Denise at Northern Sun sent out! Here is our situation:
My son Jack is 3 1/2 and we first noticed spots on Wednesday. Sarah Ackerly confirmed they were chicken pox last night. His case is very, very mild- he really only has them on his chest/stomach and a few on his back/arms/legs. While new ones came out Wednesday and Thursday, no new ones seem to have popped up since last night's diagnosis. I don't know if the ability to spread the pox has anything to do with how mild or severe the case is- but his is extremely mild so just wanted to throw that out there. Except for being itchy, he feels fine and has normal energy, no other sympotms, etc. Guess I just didn't want anyone to be disappointed if they drove a ways to see a normal looking kid!
To try to not overwhelm him with visitors, I am looking to have anyone interested in sharing some germs come over at the same time. I know that might be tricky with work/school, but I also have to do what works for our family. I tend to think today might be the last chance as no new ones came out overnight, I'm guessing by tomorrow he'll have even less. So...
Today, Friday- between 11-1 or between 3-4:30 we'd welcome any company. I hope that works out if you're interested.
