Just a quick update! I don't have internet at the house anymore so while out and about I found access!
Kaelyn Rae was born 05/16 at 9:51am weighing 9lb 3oz apgar 8, 9, and perfectly healthy!
Quick labor run down! Had a 41 week u/s that showed no fluid left around baby, induced with pitocin (which put me in the hospital instead of the birth center but my midwives were with me the whole time.) around 3pm, labored until exhausted at 12am and had only dilated from 3cm to 5cm, got epidural and slept for about three or four hours and woke up to 9cm! Around 8:50am had the urge to push, midwife checked me out and said "push when you're ready!!" It took one hour and one minute and she came out. I was alone for most of the pushing (by choice, i don't like an audience) with just a MW and RN and on the last push DP came thru the door and saw our daughter born!! (he had not wanted to be in the room for fear pushing would be like the god awful pitocin labor) I delivered her myself and she stayed in my arms for the better part of two hours and latched on to eat after about an hour.
She is almost a week old now and we are a successful breastfeeding, cloth diaper, babywearing (still practicing
team! I'm totally in love and her daddy is the best daddy ever.
