different washer - now stinky diapers

I have a regular top load washer, but recently stayed at my moms for a little over a week. She has a HE front loader. After washing every other day in her HE, my diapers STINK. I put an extra rinse cycle in her washer, but it smells like they are just not getting clean enough. Is there a trick to using HE washers, or do I just need to wash by hand at her house?

Do you think you used too much or too little detergent for the HE.

I though I had the last top loader in captivity!
