any reason this would be a bad idea?

can I put some dried herbs in a little drawstring bag (knotted very well! lol) and toss it in the dryer with dipes to give them a yummy scent? Lately they've come out of the dryer smelling not so fresh and the smell kinda lingers in the dryer. Not a build-up stink, more of a "there was way too many poopies in that load and i should have done a pre-rinse" kinda stink. Is this a good idea? Would it even work?

While I don't think masking the scent is the solution, I don't see how dried herbs would hurt anything. If they smell - they aren't clean is what I've read.

The oils might not be good for the diapers. I think a drop or two of TTO is okay, but maybe a really small sachet would be okay? I would try to strip the diapers first though.

If they stink, they need to be washed again.

If there's still a smell, I agree that masking it is not a good idea. Diapers that aren't getting clean will breed microorganisms that can be really hard on baby's skin. Myself, I take them out of the wash and smell them, and if they don't smell clean, they aren't, and I wash them again.

I don't think the herbs will harm the diapers. I just think you need clean diapers.

I recently started using borax along with my detergent, and my diapers smell completely neutral!

Another cause of stink can be your washer needs wiped out.

The sachet idea would be great for diapers you need to store for a while, though.
