i am new to serging and want to know which works better, spool caps or spool nets? I want to be able to use sewing machine thread on my machine, but they spin too fast and the thread gets tangled underneith and snaps. I cannot actually find spool caps in town, but someone suggested a make a spool net. I looked online and could not find a picture. How exactly do these work? How could i make one; perhaps ordering the spool caps would be better? What do more experienced people think?
