Which stitch for overlock on Bernina?

Thread Starter
I am going to cut the legs and arms off DS's winter PJ's (age 2) and make them short and short sleeve pj's for the summer (they aren't going to fit next winter anyway, right!). I have a Bernina 440QE and there are several overlock stitch options (i need to get the overlock foot this weekend). I don't know which one to pick for a regular PJ knit. Does anyone know which one to use? Here is the list w/ the descriptions in the user manual. Any suggestions? TIA!!

#3 - Vari Overlock - primarily for find jerseys, stretch overlock seams and hems
#8 - Double Overlock - All types of knit. sew and neaten in one operation, decorative seams
#20 - Reinforced overlock - medium-to heavyweight knits and toweling, overlock seams, flat joining seams
#22 - Jersey stitch - natural, blended or synthetic fabrics and delicate knits. visible seams and hems. mending jersey/interlock
#23 - Honeycomb stitch - most types of interlock and woven fabrics. visible seams and hems, etc.
#28 - Knit Overlock - all knits, machine or handmade, overlock seam. sews and finishes edges in one operation

Just put your overlocking foot onto the machine and try out the stitches on some scraps of the materials and see which one you like the results of best. This is always the best way to decide. Save your trial swatches in a notebook with details about the stitch including length and width you used for future reference.
