After weeks of "false" labor, I finally had the real thing today. I saw my acupuncturist this morning at 11. Then my midwife came over at 1. She gave me something homeopathic. She checked my cervix and the baby was malpresented. She got Baby T into the proper position, and then gave me a "childbirth cocktail." I laid down and rested and at 3:40 I started having strong contractions. My good friend came over to be with me and help with the kiddos. Labor was fast and intense. At one point, dh called the midwife and said, "Contractions are 30 seconds apart!" We didn't think she was going to make it. She and her intern both made it with about 10-15 minutes to spare. As soon as they got here, I got in the tub. Once I got in the tub, I got a few minutes break which was awesome. Then with one gigantic push, Baby T was born in the water. She is beautiful and perfect. I'll post pictures tomorrow. Unfortunately, my laptop is fried, so I can't just post them easily. Labor lasted 1 hour and 57 minutes.
