Does anyone do this? I am itching to get my seeds in the ground, and wondering if planting ON the new moon makes a difference or if i should wait until it is actually waxing??? And should i hurry to get my root veggies in before tomorrow(new moon)... just potatoes, all the rest are already in!

sounds like no one here knows about this technique. I posted a similar question last year and got no replies..... So, i did some research and found that you are not supposed to plant on the new moon! One more day of waiting for me

The new moon and full moon aren't supposed to be used as planting days. More for cultivating, removing plants, digging weeds, etc. I have planted some of my veggies by the moon before, but we have such a short growing season, it's hard to stick to it completely. Some people take it a step further and combine moon planting with astrological sign planting, but I'm not there yet.

I remember seeing your post last time too! I used to plant by the moon but have completely fallen out of it. I don't know why either because I really enjoyed the connection I felt and the plants really did seem to respond! I think it may be one of those things that got blown up by motherhood

I should dig my book back out, it's around here some where! I don't remember all the particulars anymore.

I realized yesterday that I planted some new fruiting bushes on the day of the new moon. I'm tempted to dig them up and re-plant them. I wonder if it would make a difference. At least it might set my mind at ease, since I ordered them from halfway across the country. Any thoughts? (quickly!)
