Does anyone other than Fisher Price make a papasan swing?

These look really nice, but I really would rather not buy a Fisher Price swing. Is there anyone else that makes swings like these? Perhaps a more natural company or something? A friend is already going to be passing on an Amby bed to us.

Boppy makes this one that we got. very neutral colors and doesn't take up a lot of space!

I'm just curious-

Aside from the fact they are a huge company (as well as the lead scare—which effected most toy producers), what's wrong with Fisher-Price?

We ended up getting a FP Papasan through craigslist so we weren't giving money to FP. But we did get a few more of their products from stores.

I prefer to buy from smaller companies and I also like to see my options. It just seems odd to me that they are the only ones who make a swing like this.

Go to your local Babies R Us. They have several options.

Do you mean of papasan type swings? The ones that swing side to side? The reason I ask is because there are none that would be considered local to us, so it would be a trip that would take up most of a day for us.

I am kind of thinking that FP is the only place that makes them.

Yup. The whole isle of swings were papasan types when I went the other day. I remember because I'm thinking the next baby will get one cause I really hate our conventional swing. That thing sucks.

Oooh great! Thanks! I wonder why I couldn't get anything other than FP ones to come up on a search. Oh well!
