i'm not sure if this is the correct forum to post this but i couldn't find another board!

anyway - i find that i am so stuck on the three r's that i can't get rid of anything! i have tons of plastic containers that i'll "someday" use - that i don't. i have broken electronics in my garage that i won't throw out - yet don't know what to do with them. i've got tons of video tapes that i dubbed movies on that we don't watch. the stuff piles up and i am getting buried under!

any suggestions? how do you balance the three r's with practicality???

the big blue bin...we are militant on recycling..but if I know in my heart that *someday* will never come..into the blue bin it goes...for the city to recycle into...pop cans..carpet foam...whatever....I do use cloth shopping bags..and reuse plastic or paper ones I aquire....some bottles i freeze w/ water for the cooler for camping trips..but for the most part....the blue bin..

for the movies...maybe donate to charity..or trade on the swap board..?

I don't know where you live..but my cityofmesa homepage has a program to take old appliances/(electronics maybe too) and I dunno if the re-furb then or dispose of them safely....I've never done it.... happy sorting!
