I need step by step how to fill water pool directions

because I feel like I'm not understanding. Mostly the confusion is with how to fill it...our room is quite far from the kitchen; closest to the bathroom sink, but I suppose the shower would work too. The hoses...do they work well? Anyone have step by steps here, esp including the filling and emptying?

We've always (3times now) filled our tub with a hose connected to the bathroom sink. You probably need an additional connector to make the hose fit though. You want a water safe hose. I had good luck with this site for all in one shopping--your waterbirth.com
Emptying I've never been in charge of, but I think it was reversed and down the tub drain.

Connect a hose (preferably the safe-for-drinking variety - they're usually white and sold with the other hoses and say RV use sometimes) to your sink or wash basin. You'll need an adaptor you can get at the hardware store for next to nothing that screws into the faucet (sometimes you have to unscrew the decorative piece on the tip of the faucet to screw the adaptor in) then you screw the hose into the adaptor. Run the hose to the tub and fill with hot water (I found that in labor I needed water to be right at 99 degrees - no more, no less). If your water heater should run out of hot water, boil pots of water on the stove and add them in with cold water from the hose until you're full (not too full, of course b/c you're body will displace a fair amount). When you're done, you can drain it with the same hose or use a regular garden hose if you're going to be filling again later (keep the fill hose clean in that case is what I'm saying) into the toilet, which will self-regulate the flushing and not let the bowl overflow (have someone check on it initially to be sure though, jic!). I've always used a sump pump to attach to the drain hose but other people have simply syphoned it by sucking on the other end of the hose or something. I can't imagine that would drain it super low though but maybe enough to be able to lift & dump the rest if you're using an inflatable pool (I never was). Here's an article that might help.
