Vegetable glycerin as a sweetener

Vegetable glycerin as a sweetener is not mentioned in NT but is lauded on anti-candida diets as candida safe. I am just not convinced as it dosn't seem very traditional and does seem very processed. Then again, I would like for it to be safe (in moderation) to have a sweetener option!

Anyone knowledgeable about this?

I don't know anything about it's "safety", but I do know that it is highly processed, and that too much of it can cause diarrhea.
