I just wanted to say a thank you for all those who post on this board and help it to continue going as a great source of information! Because of this board, I'm armed with tons of information to protect my son from medical ignorance that could result in unnecessary circ's. I also was militant about making sure that my doctor didn't touch his foreskin with the proverbial 10 foot pole! 
While pregnant with my first child, a daughter, as soon as I ever read info that indicated that circ was unnecessary and painful, I knew that I would never circ any boys of mine. So the decision was made long before MDC and long before I had an actual son. (My 2nd child, a boy, is now 3 months old) But thank you for following that up with information that was needed to help me protect my son's intact state. Living in circ-happy midwest I am SO grateful that I know what I do and that as a result I will never allow myself to be pressured to consent to a circ for my son for anything less than frostbite, gangrene, cancer, or severe trauma. (All of which are about as likely to happen as an elephant landing on my house)
