really strong smell?

I use Motherease diapers on my ds. I've used them for over a year and now there is a really strong urine smell after he wets them. How do I get rid of it? Do I need to strip them and if so how? Thanks in advance

it might help if you post your wash routine--that could depend if you need to strip or not.

I've battled this on and off the entire time I've had my MEOS. I was never really able to pin things down exactly since when stripping I never ended up with "oodles" of suds/bubbles like you would expect if there was buildup. I've ended up using a small amount of bleach or oxygen bleach (like Ecover's) in the rinse cycle lately and had good success that way.

Definitely post your wash routine as it's possible it might something a simple fix would take care of.

My wash cycle is as follows:
I prerinse in warm water with my detergent (7th gen). then I do a full wash cycle in hot water with detergent. I dry it on the line. In my pail, I use water and baking soda.
