infant with UTI - Page 2

For reoccurring UTI's try a daily dose of D-Mannose. It is safe for infants, pregnant and breastfeeding mamas. It is safe and has no side-effects. It does not mess with the body's PH and even diabetics can use it.

we're home! : The VCUG was done today and I talked to the tech beforehand, she did not retract him at all but the little guy still hated it. Good news, no reflux!

I live outside Philadelphia and circumcision is pretty common. But all of our boys are intact and are going to stay that way.

Have to follow up with his ped in a few days and hope he doesn't get sick again!
Yay! Such a great update! I hope you guys settle into your routine quickly. Glad all is well. :

just a quick update. Kevin is doing great, finished his antibiotics on Friday and went for a urine test today - ped used a bag. prelim tests came back clear and he is back to his happy, healthy self. Gained almost 2 pounds since being in the hospital!

BUT we just spend another few days in the hospital. this time with his twin brother Patrick - same deal, UTI and kidney infection. How in the world do both my kids get this? 2 different strains of e coli. only us! I caught the symptoms right away so he was nowhere as sick as Kevin. He also was admitted to the hospital where they were born by his ped, not the hospital Kevin was in, and no mention of circumcision! They still want to do a VCUG in a week or two so hopefully he too gets a clean bill of health.
