where to get free or cheap food grade 55 gallon barrels?

Anyone have any ideas? A guy on craigslist is selling them for $35 each, that is the only source I can find. Who else should I check? Bakeries? I don't even know who receives food materials in those...

We just bought one at a farm supply store, it was new and $15. I'm not sure if it was food grade though, we got it for greywater. I live in an ag area, not sure about a more metropolitan area!

I would think bakeries and delis would be a good place to start for freebies, although I'm not sure about the size...

Depending on where you are located you might be able to find a food manufacturer. Any you might find at a deli or bakery probably won't be more than 10 gal.
