Why are threads closed?

I'm asking about threads where there hasn't been any fighting going on, or any controversy.

How old is the thread?

Threads without activity for six months were closed if someone wants to bump one or needs to edit something they can contact a moderator and we can assist someone with that.

Otherwise it really depends. Which thread was it?

I'm also wondering about the rad feminist thread that was removed and hasn't been back.
