What would you pay for poop scooping?

Title basically says it all, what do you pay, what would you pay, or what do you charge for scooping dog poo?

My DF used to pay for poop scooping and it was $15 a week for one dog on a fairly average (i.e. small!) suburban lot.

Personally I wouldn't pay very much because it is a job I don't mind too much and as long as it is done regularly it only takes a few minutes. But some people are really adverse to it and are willing to pay for the service.

Ha, I used to get paid to scoop poop (I was a kennel assistant and then a veterinary assistant) so it would be really difficult for me to pay someone else to do it.

Do you mow your own lawn, or do you hire someone? Maybe if you hire someone you could add that to their job for less than it would cost to hire somebody seperately?

Well, I'm too cheap to pay for it so I can't help you there. But people often advertise these services on Craigslist and similar websites, perhaps you could search there to see prices? A lot of times pricing for things like this can be regional too.

I asked because we recently started paying our son to do it. After checking out our local Craigslist I couldn't believe what people were charging. 20 dollars a week a dog with a contract wasn't uncommon. I was wondering if the numbers we found out were completely crazy.

That said we are paying our son "buy the pile" you've never seen a kid so excited about poop before.

LOL, we do this with our son as well. We're thinking about taking him to this exhibit near us: http://www.ironworld.com/exhibits/scoop/

We paid $25/month for a "professional" for 2 years- he died of a stroke last summer at age 53 He was such a nice man. Anyway, that is in the Albuquerque, New Mexico area.

Now, I'd happily pay my kids to do it- but they won't have any part of it And since the dogs are technically mine....

we recently started getting our yardwork done by a service and they threw in poop scooping for $10 extra, so we went for it.

it is really nice having someone else do it! i kind of want to hug them.
