hanging diapers in the sun to dry

I'm hanging my fuzzi bunz and BG outside on a clothes line to dry and to get rid of stains- is it best to hang the diaper over the line or hang it up and down? Do you get what I'm saying? I'm wondering if the sun hitting the outer part of the diaper will break it down at all and cause leaking issues?

I hang mine with pins, with the inner facing the sun as much as possible. Never heard anyone complain of breakdown - and many many mamas hang their dipes!

I've never had a problem, but this is my first, and we've only been diapering for 5 out of her 7 mths.
I'm sure its fine.

The sun does degrade the elastic faster- though I live in Australia where the sun is much stronger- I dont hang anything I care about outside or it gets faded and destroyed pretty fast. And almost all diaper companies recommend hanging them lengthwise across the line (ie not hanging down) I think because the weight of the nappy also wears the elastic faster, but not sure

I have a drying rack and lay the diapers flat to dry in the sun. That way they are supported and the sun doesn't hit the outside. Granted, not that many fit on the rack, but I usually am not sunning too many at a time.
