Anyone know of one? I'm in St. Louis Pk but will travel within the metro. They do need to be set up to take insurance though. I can't pay out of pocket. Prefer a female.

Thanks!

Yes! I know of two very good therapists, very AP-friendly. You can easily Google for phone numbers since I'm not sure I should post them here.

Maureen Campion, Minnesota Valley Psychologists, in Burnsville.*

Suzanne Swanson, in St Paul (Grand Ave & Lexington so not far from I-94)

I know both of them and highly, highly, highly recommend both.

*Also, Maureen runs Parenting Oasis, http://parentingoasis.com, a fantastic place to hang out, talk to other moms/parents, bring your baby, have coffee, there's also a group on Tuesdays 12-1pm specifically for new moms. PO is open on Tuesdays during the summer (oops! Tuesday is today...I'm confused with the holiday...)

Thank you Daniela for the wonderful vote of confidence. I do love working with new mommas. If Burnsville doesn't work for you here is a list of great therapists who specialize in ppd through out the TC. Krista Post is in St Louis Park and although she isn't very AP, I think she could support you.

And please do come to Parenting Oasis. We are a free drop in parenting center. You can come have lunch, a cup of coffee, let the little one play, have a grown up conversation. And I am always there if you just want to talk. We also offer massage with free childcare which is what every momma needs. Just a great AP community.
