BG question

Newbie here. I have 3 BG 3.0s in my NB stash. They each came with two inserts, one bigger one with snaps to make it shorter, and a thinner one. For a newborn, which one do I use inside the dipe? Or do I use both?

Well I believe they put the smaller one in there for the NB stage but my ds was a VERY heavy wetter so I had to buy different inserts to use for the NB stage in mine..he would soak thru the small thin ones in one pee...I felt the one side on the OS insert that would be doubled over would be too uncomfortable for him....plus even on ds who was 10+lbs at birth the BG 3.0's were a little tiny bit bulky on him at first...I can't imagine how bulky it would have been if I would have used the OS insert.
