PUL diapers + cat claws

I have AppleCheeks (PUL) diaper covers that are sitting nicely in a pretty basket awaiting the birth of my baby. They are presently covered because my cats just love baskets of any variety... but that has me wondering if I'm not careful - will happy cat claws completely destroy them? Obviously if they get shredded, it's all over but what about your basic "happy cat" claw puncture?
Other people must have come across this issue...

Hmmm, no cats here, but I would think any puncture would be detrimental, it would break the seal and allow moisture through. When sewing with PUL I'm always careful not to pin, or rip out any sewing etc. Not to say it's certain death. You might be able to re-seal the PUL by drying on high heat occasionally.

But you're much better off to keep then from the cats, I think!

Enjoy the coming babe! Ours is due in Aug. :
