Prepping Cotton and Hemp?

So, I have some new fitteds on the way, 1 hemp and 3 cotton. I know they all need to be prepped to get nice and absorbent... but can I prep them together? I know the hemp definitetly shouldn't be washed with pockets or anything until they have been prepped and worn because the oils can get all stuck in the fleece... but can the same thing happen with cotton or can I wash them all together?

If it's unbleached cotton than yes, if bleached - some of the oils may get absorbed by the cotton...

so if bleached I would prep hemp first then do the cotton with it once the first few washing are done with.

if unbleached cotton I don't think it matters

Really, either way - I think you'll be okay since the oils are being washed out. Cotton is more forgiving than synthetics.

Edited to add:
Just read that hemp doesn't need to be washed like unbleached cotton - so you'll be fine

I will probably just prep them all together then... it is 4 pockets and some doublers, 3 cotton pockets and 1 hemp and the doublers are hemp so splitting them up seems like it would be a huge waste of water!! How many times do I need to do the wash/dry thing to really prep hemp? I have heard anywhere from 3 to 6...
