Since this is my first vaginal birth being a vbac, I'm curious about the recovery of birth for mom. I am 1 week postpartum and I get this ache and pain in the area behind the pee area and also like on my butt bones. I don't really know how to explain it otherwise. It seems like it must be my bones and the pubic symphysis?? I can walk around the house, but it is achy to start walking and it hurts to stand still cause it feels like my butt bones are throbbing. Its weird? Of course, WAY better than a csection recovery, but my mom and sister don't remember feeling this way. Anyone have anything similar?

Postpartum aches on butt bones and pee area?

That sounds about right.
I'm recovering from vaginal delivery #2 and those are the exact same aches and pains I have. The only way I could describe it to DH is that it feels like someone kicked me pretty hard in the vag-area...it just...aches. A lot. Even almost two weeks post partum. And up until a few days ago, I had pretty rough pelvic pain too, but that's gone away, thankfully. MY tailbone hurts as well...I think this all just goes with the territory. It's a lot of trauma for your body to push that little (big!) head and body out of the birth canal and your bones get all smooshed and rearranged. Enjoy your motrin prescription and the pain will go away in a few weeks. ;-)
Oh and congratulations on your VBAC!
