Anybody who has spent time with autistic children on the more severe end knows that bowel problems are common. I've worked with a number of children with an autism dx and EXTREME bowel problems are very common. For Deer to just say this doesn't exist, is so bizarre. I mean why would the G.P.'s have sent these children to the Royal Free to receive G.I. help? The G.P.'s were at a loss and needed someone with more expertise.
It's attitudes like Deers and many within the allopathic medical profession that ends up hurting these children. Children suffering like this are ignored as behavioral problems and put on psychotropics to control behavior and no help is truly received.
As a side, one parent mentioned that MV was found during a bowel flare-up and not at another testing. I can see how it would lead one to believe that MV is the cause, but I think this goes to Moulden's point that MV is not a cause but more of an effect. When the immune respose is overwhelmed by toxins in general, the MV can make its way in. This would also help explain why the MV is not found in some cases.
