Hi all. I just joined these forums because I'm looking for help. Is there already a movement about this issue that I could join? New York State is spending my tax dollars on an anti-cosleeping campaign:

They say co-sleeping is particularly dangerous to babies if the adults are drunk or drugged, but imply that it's still dangerous even for normal parents. Of course, they don't cite any studies that support this, because there are none.
I sent an email to the NYS Office of Children & Family Services, asking what evidence they have that co-sleeping is dangerous for normal parents, and they haven't gotten back to me. Maybe if enough people protest, they will stop this campaign.
If they get away with this, I can just see the next safety campaign: "Since it's possible to choke to death on vegetables, especially if you're drunk or drugged, you should protect your health by never eating vegetables."
