DS is 5 months old and we loooove our Moby Wrap, but are finding it a bit too hot now. So, I'd like to find something cooler and breathable that we can also wear in the water. These are the options that I am considering:
Gypsy Mama Water Wrap
- distributes weight so it doesn't hurt back/shoulders, more difficult to nurse in, takes more time to put on/take off
Taylor Made Water Mesh Sling
- less weight distribution = more uncomfortable?, easy to nurse in and take on/off, will the mesh be slippery when not wet?
Solarveil Sling
- scratchy fabric?, fabric being discontinued??, easy to nurse in and take on/off
Maybe a Solarweave Mei Tai, if I can find one.
Whatever I buy, I would like it to be adjustable. Part of the reason why I love our Moby is that is does not hurt my back and shoulders. I have a flannel ring sling and have found that my back/shoulders get tired and sore - however, I have only used it with DS in the cradle hold position. Is it less painful when you wear them in a front or hip carry in a ring sling?
What are your experiences with hot weather babywearing?
