Can't wait to get to know everyone who will be in this ddc!

Last pregnancy I was at the end of the month. It feels totally awesome to be at the begining!!

I know what you mean, I'm due 2/7 so I'll defenitely be in Feb
post #3 of 43
Hello!!

With me it all depends on which EDD I use...based on my OPK I'm due Feb 4th, based on LMP I'm due Jan 30th. I plan on crossing my legs and holding out for a Feb birthday. My DS's birthday is January 30th...I'd like this baby to be born AFTER his birthday.

Hey mamas!
I'm due between Jan 29 and Feb 1, but was 1 week late with my first 2, so I think I'll stay here if that's okay....Look forward to getting to know you all and this board getting busy!!! Congrats to you all :

My DD was due nov 28 but not born until dec 7, so I am also glad to be due at the beginning of the month!! (feb 5)

I am thinking of lying about my LMP so that if this baby is "late" I can avoid being pressured to induce. Thoughts?

Also, I could eat potato chips all day! Not sure if it's the pregnancy or if I'm always that way but allowing myself to indulge because of the pregnancy.

What's everyone craving?

Looking forward to getting to know everyone! Congrats all around. : for sticky babies!!!!

Yay! I'm excited!

I don't know how my Dh is going to take it. We've been TTC since January (well, we consciencely haven't been preventing). We just bought our first house (conceived on closing day!) and knowing him, he'll go instantly into "Our lives our over because we can't afford it." instead of actually being happy. What a killjoy.

At any rate, I'm positive about it and I hope I don't get morning sickness again. Ugh.

I'm not craving anything yet, feministmom. I acutally didn't even suspect I was pregnant until yesterday when I finally realized what cycle day I was and that I haven't gotten my period yet--I don't feel pregnant at all! (I hope hope hope that's not a bad omen!)

I'm excited to get to know everyone, too!

Hello! I just posted in the due date roll call under a different username but remember this one, my original one.

I had a very traumatic birth that was an emergency c-section with my son and then an amazing HBAC water birth after 51 hours of labor (45 with broken waters) with my daughter.

I had a miscarriage at 8 weeks and then got immediately pregnant with my daughter. So I am cautious at this point in the pregnancy. I tested positive very early, much earlier than my other pregnancies, at 3 weeks 3 days. But I am pretty confident on my ovulation day so I think this is accurate. My due date is February 6th.

I nursed through my last pregnancy and tandemed nursed for 16 months. My son self weaned right after his 4th birthday. My daughter is still nursing and is going strong. She has just started nursing at night a lot.

I am looking forward to getting to know everyone!

Lots of sticky vibes!

I introduced myself up on the sticky but will say "Hi" again.

I'm Jill, I'm 34 and this will be baby no 4 for us. Our third, our beautiful, beautiful baby girl, Emma, died during labour in October so this is an absolutely terrifying and special place to be right now.

It's a big step for me venturing into a DDC - I wasn't sure if I would or would just stick to the PAL thread in the loss section. I've decided to try and embrace this pregnancy and hope and pray it lasts - so here I am. I haven't made it official with anyone yet but from O day, my EDD is 4th February. I already know baby will be arriving via planned section sometime around 38 weeks so I guess I'm probably going to be one of the first to pop.

Seems like there are a LOT of us due 4th? Was there some extra special fertility juju going around on around 11th May

to all those who have had previous losses.
: for no problems for everybody!

**phew**

I had some brown spotting on Wed. It is 100% clear today! Nothing whatsoever. Such a load off my mind!!

We still won't be telling anyone in our family

I have a due date of the very end of Jan, but I am consistently 1-2 weeks late, so I'm sure this will be a Feb baby. I'm going by date of conception since I am nursing and haven't had a cycle.
This will be baby #5 for us. I've had 2 freestanding birth center births and 2 homebirths. Quite a shock to be here again, but slowly getting used to the idea!

mtnmoon ~ my boys will be 5 and 2 when this baby is born...cool to know you're in the same stages with your kiddos as I am! And I'm due between Jan. 28th and Feb 1st, and was 1.5 weeks late with my first and 1 week late with my second. Were we seperated at birth?

feminist ~ I'm assuming you're seeing a Dr., since you're worried about being pressured to be induced (of course, I could be wrong!). If that's the case, they'll be able to tell the gestational age by ultrasound, and they'll adjust your due date accordingly. Either just put your foot down and refuse it, or try to find a provider who won't hassle you.

I'm wanting salty stuff and fruit these days, although that's pretty normal for me, I guess.

Willow ~ right there with you on the shock factor!

So, where is everybody from? I'm a newly transplanted Californian.

Sadly, I actually went to a midwifery group! I was kinda floored with how wrong my birth went, since I had chosen midwives. But I know more now and am more confident to refuse induction--it ended up being completely unnecessary with DD. I didn't find MDC until DD was about 3 months old I am having a consultation with a new group on wed. :

Good for you! My first son's birth was with midwives in a hospital, and it went differently than I wanted as well. I ended up with AROM and a Pitocin drip, and episiotomy which tore past to a 3rd degree...I might just as well have gone to a Dr.! My last was at a freestanding center, and this one I would like a homebirth. Best of luck with the new midwives!
Heh, sounds like my birth: I didn't have an AROM, but had cervidil-->constant in-bed monitoring-->nubain-->epidural-->episiotomy. Hoping for better this time with different midwives at a different hospital. Not sure yet if homebirth is for me.

Hello! I introduced myself in the sticky, but I will here as well. I'm Katie, and my husband and I are expecting our FIRST child on the 4th of February (seems like a popular date!). We are thrilled. Right now I'm nannying for a 7yo, 5yo, and 18 month old, but will be quitting to stay home with the baby. I'm terrified of miscarriage, and it has been a struggle to keep negative thoughts at bay.

I would prefer a home birth with a midwife, but I'm still working on getting DH on board. Since it's our first, we will probably start interviewing both OBs and Midwives soon, even though it's so early.

I'm excited to get to know you all!

Welcome, picture, and congrats on your first!! I think every mother is scared of miscarrying, whether it's their first or their 10th. Worrying is the art of motherhood, and it starts the moment you know there's a baby on the way...it's just in our nature!

Crazy! I think we must have been seperated....just replied to the symptom thread and quoted you as describing my symptoms to a t too. Also....my dream is to one day be a midwife....once my little ones are older. My dh is an RN and I'm not quite sure if I want to go the nursing route or cpm. Look forward to getting to know you more!

Yeah, but my face is always like that. Doesn't bother me anymore.

If I start getting pimples all down my front again, I'm going to be peeved.

(Don't I sound appealing? :P)
