How to keep heavy wetter feeling dry at night?

Our LO still nurses a lot at night, and by morning his diaper is really soaked. We don't have a problem with leaking, but I'm wondering if the wetness is causing his frequent awakenings. I'd like to try a diaper that would keep him feeling dry at night, to see if he wakes less frequently. Sposies are a possibility (any particular suggestions? I read in one thread that Huggies are good), but are there any CDs that would do as well?

We use Fuzzi Bunz at night or a fitted with a fleece liner and both seem to keep DS feeling pretty dry. By morning they might be a little damp against his skin but nothing that wakes him, he sleeps through the night most of the time. What diapers do you currently use?

When it comes to cloth diapering, many mamas prefer natural fibers next to baby's skin. However - if you want a stay-dry feeling, you'll want something like microfleece next to baby's skin. Many pocket or all-in-one style diapers have a synthetic "wicking" layer. Even with prefolds or fitteds, though (hemp, cotton, bamboo, or whatever) you can just buy some fleece from Joann's or something, cut it to size, and lay it in the diaper. This can be really helpful for babies with sensitive skin or when the wetness seems to be a problem.

I don't really use sposies anymore, but they will all be stay-dry. Our faves were always pampers. I hated Huggies. It's just a matter of preference and baby shape, I guess!

I have a few Bum genius one size that I use only for night time. By morning, both inserts will be soaked but you wouldn't even know she had peed if you just felt the liner. Those puppies stay DRY.

Thanks for the great suggestions everyone!

We currently use Loveybums Organic Velour with a doubler for night, either that or the one Goodmama that we have. I love the Loveybums in general, but not so much for nighttime as it turns out. The Goodmama is a bit better for nighttime.

Thanks for the tips, and I would normally agree with the above. But I also want us to get some sleep - so we might have to sacrifice that natural wet feeling for a synthetic dry one, just at night. We EC, but he isn't interested in pottying at night, and it wakes us up too much to change his dipe.

What do you do at night?

Thanks again everyone. I just ordered a couple of 'stay dry' fleece doublers from Green Mountain Diapers, and I also ordered a Bum Genius to try that out. A friend lent me a couple of Fuzzi Bunz a while ago, but I haven't used them as yet because they look a bit big. I will give them a try to see if he's grown into them by now.

The above suggestions are great, but if you find you need a boost in absorbancy, I would highly recommend trying a super-do insert. We put one in a pocket diaper at night with my son and he wakes up feeling totally dry even though the super-do is pretty soaked. And he never has leaks

I'm doing prefolds and Thirsties covers at night, and even with a diaper change in the middle of the night my 7 week old's diapers is soaking wet when I change him. Would one of those super-do inserts work laid inside a prefold? I feel bad that the little guy gets so wet. I doesn't seem to bother him, but I still feel bad. Also, if he poos when I'm nursing him in the night, I end up with a leak out the leg-hold if the diaper is totally saturated with pee already.

I have some BumGenius diapers, but I don't trust them at night as he seems to always pee out the top front of those if he's lying down. I can't get a good "seal" between the front of the diaper and his stomach for some reason.
