should i pick the flowers off my tomatos?

hi there! i purchased tomato plants from the store and some had flowers. they are about 12 inches tall. should i pick the flowers off so the plant can give energy to growing instead of fruiting? some of the others didnt have flowers when i purchased them but they do now, and again, they are about 12 inches tall. so, do you pick them off until they get bigger?

I'm pretty sure the flowers turn into tomatoes?? Am I wrong here?

I always do. It seems to make the plant a lot stronger. I did leave them on one of my 16 plants this year just to prove it to myself though! that plant is already falling behind the others!

yeah, they do turn into tomatoes but generally, when i transplant anything i pick off the blossoms to give the plant energy for roots and leaves. ive never had such small tomato plants flower though. i think i might try it with some and not with others to see if theres a difference but if anyone has concrete info on this, please chime in!

I agree - the best way to get a plant to grow strong is to pick off the buds/flowers when you transplant. Don't fear, you'll get plenty of flowers grow in return
