HELP!
I have a 30 X 30 garden which I don't have time to hand water. The garden well is very low pressure. It's separate than the house well I'm assuming for reasons that the house is low pressure as well. I don't know if I'm having sprinkler problems due to the low pressure (low gpm) or just do to user error.
The pressure also seems not to be constant so you have surges.
I have the type of sprinkler that has an arm that goes "ch ch ch ch ch ch ch ch chhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh" It has an arm that interrupts the water and does 1/4" in 3 hours. It just stops working and water splays out of the sprinkler and then suddenly works again. This leaves the upper part of my garden flooded and the lower part dry. Is it the low pressure making the sprinkler not work. It is a week old and is a more expensive model.
I can't use my other sprinklers because I don't have a hose long enough to reach the far part of the garden. It's a 50' hose. I have an irrigation system but it's broken and DH is gone for 22 more days (but who is counting?).
Should I get yet another sprinkler? Maybe an oscillating one? Can I get this sprinkler to work? Am I doomed with a low pressure well?
I'm obviously very confused and need help. It's urgent because since DH isn't home I don't leave very often but I'll be leaving in a few hours and can purchase a sprinkler then.
THANK YOU!!!!!
