Flu shot recommendations - a question

If a person were to have just had the flu, would he/she still be recommended to get a flu shot or not?

I'm just wondering what the general policy on this is. If my child got the flu in, say, September, and then I took her in for a check-up in October, would the pediatrician still try to push the shot on us, or would my child be considered immune for the season?

considering that there's multiple strands of the flu, my guess is that they would to protect against the "other" strains

and i'll probably sound a little conspiracy theorist here, but my opinion is also that they don't really push the flu vaccine, or any vaccine for that matter, for children's health as much as they do for profit... someone's profit, anyway..
