ICK! And not especially ethical, IMO, unless you had the parents permission to sell the foreskin and who would give that?

Are you serious? :Puke I'm too scared to look for myself. I'm still seeing the screaming crying baby from the Penn & Teller bit that I saw by accident. I didn't ever want to see one being performed b/c I knew it'd stick w/ me forever. Now I get to picture it as my nephews being mutilated (I wish their mother would stay pregnant forever b/c they're still protected).

If you choose to circ then the idea that tyhe foreskin is put to use for making skin for burn victims etc is actually nice...but WTF?! That the doctors get to charge the parents AND the labs that buy the skin...how can you ever trust doctors and hospitals knowing this?! It is such a frickin' scam!

Thank you for posting this. though i was already aware of the use of foreskins in cosmetics, reading that article brought it to my mind when I was visiting with a friend of mine. It gave me a nice "in" to bring up the subject.

OMG - this came up in an episode of Scrubs (Elliot commented that she was using a cream made from baby foreskins) and I thought is was hysterical because "who would make/buy/use a skin cream made from foreskins"?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!? How awful that is not as outrageous as I thought.

Bleh - I won't even use cosmetics made with animal products; I didn't realize that I had to watch out for human products as well.

eta: To clarify - it was the absurdity of the concept that I found so funny, not the concept itself.

Click on "IS" in my siggy. On the second line of that article, click "Corielle." Search that site for "Foreskin". Yep. I think you need a medical license, but I'm not sure. It's still gross.

Cosmetics, tissue re-engineering, stem-cell research...foreskin sales is a BIG business. Now you see why the urgency to keep Americans circing.

Btw, the cream that Oprah uses has infant foreskins in it. Think she'd still use it if it had little girls foreskins in it???
