Hope i can get the book & read it by then-- I'm going away next weekend to a wedding so maybe on the plane....

It's an easy read...finished it in a day. If you'd like to borrow my copy, let me know.

yes, I will be at Brown Street tomorrow if you can bring it then that would be great! If it's that quick a read I should have it available to pass along after I get back Monday night.

Unfortunately, that's the only night that week I can do it-- and then the following week I can do the 24th but I know Sarah will be out of town....what to do??

I'm going to do my best to read the book but I'm not going to commit to this month (or probably next but ya never know) so plan away without me. I'll probably show up though. If I can't get it easily at the library today I'll probably want to borrow it too at some point. I am not a fast reader though so I should probably borrow it last

Hey leosmama (and all)-- sorry, we ended up not coming to Brown street yesterday! I have requested a copy through the library also and hoping it will still be available before I leave this weekend.
as for other dates in June/July, my last nights of work are June 29, 30 and July 1, then on the 3rd I'm leaving town for 5 days and so won't really be able to do the 2nd. AUGH!

I really really want to be able to come this month but if a different date works better for the most people, that is ok....maybe that means I'll just have to find a way to squeeze in one in August or something

ok so how about this: we push it back a couple of weeks to whatever window in july works for caitlin. sonja's baby status may preclude her, but i was also wondering whether it would be too crazy of an idea to bring book club to her? obviously it would be up to sonja (maybe too overwhelming if it's too soon). and maybe we could sweeten the deal by each bringing a casserole or a lasagna or something to feed their freezer?

So I have a friend who is interested in joining the book group. but she doesn't have kids. That shouldn't matter right? Or do we talk about mothering stuff too much?

Maybe we could move this to a group email anyway?

As for this month. I am pretty flexible. What a nice thought to come to me. I think there is a good chance I won't be up for hosting post baby, but I might be really wanting to see people but not feeling like getting out. It's hard to say right now.
I would love to try to do one more in June and then leave my participation in July's uncertain.

i don't think it would be a problem at all to have non-parents there. maybe then we'd actually talk about the book more than we do now

Yeah, it would add a different dynamic definitely. I personally get enough "mom talk" at playgroup and would like a little more focus on other stuff. But we do that at playgroup too (between the cloth diaper conversations)

I ordered the book. I'm on track to getting involved! Sarah are you coming back on the 28th? Too soon to do book group that night?
Otherwise, Caitlin may just have to call in to work sick
