What to do with leftover Palm Shortening?

My husband made fried chicken last night in palm shortening (yum!), but now I'm wondering what to do with the used palm shortening. How do I store it? What can I use it for if I'm not planning on deep frying anything again for a while?

While I have no direct experience with palm shortening I'm guessing it is a lot like lard, tallow or coconut oil.
If it is still in the pan and has hardened you will want to warm it up a bit so as to melt it and then strain it to get any bits out. I think you can use a coffee filter or 1 layer of paper towel in a strainer to let it filter through. Pour it into a storage container. Then you can store it for later use on counter, in fridge or freezer(leave expansion room inside container with a loose lid!) depending on how long you plan to take to use it.
