Preventing tumors from a TF perspective

Thread Starter
Hi everybody,
Yesterday I was diagnosed with a 25cmx25cm mass in my abdomen (the size of a full-term pregnancy). They believe it is a dermoid which I had in the past, about 10 years ago. Dermoids are usually benign. I will be having surgery soon to remove it.
I am very overweight (over 300) but lost 35 pounds since December which is probably why I noticed it now. Since this will be my 3rd surgery (the other two, like I said, were 10 years ago--I am 31 now) I am hoping for ideas to prevent this from recurring. Prior to now I ate mostly SAD (OK I mean prior to the last couple years, I have been TF on and off since 2006-07 and consistently since December)... I was raised vegetarian/macrobiotic and I do believe that is part to do with the reproductive issues I've had in the past. If they are able to leave my ovaries/uterus I am hoping somehow to avoid this happening again. I do know that overeating obviously could play a part, and also stress/worrying which I do excessively.

Any ideas/help?

Thanks

I have a 13cmx4cm ish cyst on my left ovary which I have been trying to avoid having to have surgery to remove so been looking into natural methods to get rid of it...don't know if that is even possible at this stage and am preparing myself for surgery but won't hurt to change a few things diet-wise anyway!

I have been looking at iodine (a couple of threads on health and healing) and now also investigating copper/zinc imbalance thanks to LionTigerBear's thread on here. Maybe a starting point for you. Come and join us!

A lot of info suggests avoiding dairy...but then they also recommend eating soy so not sure about that...especially if it's raw dairy. Stress definitely doesn't help and I think you are right about your past diets too. Good for you that you are looking into ways to change things in the future...hope it works!

Zenzero, I think you can get rid of it with iodine.

OP,
I ditto iodine!! lack of which causes cysts on breast, ovaries, uterus and in addition to thyroid. The glands enlarge to try to capture more iodine in a deficiency state. See thread "My story, my cure" in Health and Healing but I will be posting a huge iodine thread soon. I want to clearly explain why many times the RDA is needed in these modern times (and in event of a disease state). Also if you are having weight issues, you are most likely hypothyroid. Subclinical hypothyroidism can be determined by taking first AM temps. http://www.drbobnd.com/low_thyroid.htm

Also WAPF talks about sugar causing tumor growth.

Eeek. NO soy.

That worsens thyroid/iodine issues as it is a goitrogen (causes goiter and cysts, blocks iodine receptors, prevents proper body function).

:

Just re-read my post and don't think I was very clear. I don't think we should be eating soy. I was just wondering about the dairy really as the same people who say no dairy also say to eat soy...which I definitely don't agree with!

Thanks for the info on iodine Jane...I will look out for your thread.

You might check out Healing Naturally By Bee @ http://www.healingnaturallybybee.com/index.php. It's a diet to get rid of candida, but a lot of people do it for other health benefits. She also has a Yahoo group that's very active.
