Feeling a little blue lately - what will help?

I've been pregnant 2 years in a row so my body is probably drained of nutrients now and I'm starting to feel a little disconnected from my kids and DH. Plus we've been under a bit of stress with the threat of losing both our jobs or taking a harsh pay cut which will almost equal the amount of our mortgage payment. To top it all off I've been really nauseous this time around and haven't been able to eat well or take my CLO. The nauseousness is staring to get a little better though. I was able to take a CLO capsule last night so that's encouraging. What else would be good for my mood? I'm scared of taking anti-depressants but I have done so along time ago. Oh and I have an appt with an Endocrinologist next month for a thyroid work up because I'm suspicious that I may have hypothyroid like my mom and sister which I know could be causing my mood issues as well. TIA for any advice!

What always helps pick me up is liver, greens, and lots of meat! Avoid the sugar and empty carbs- good luck to you! I have had way worse nausea this pregnancy as well although I seem out of the woods now.

Thanks mamas! I have some organ delight caps I could take. I've never had the courage to eat liver but maybe I could talk dh into making some for me so I won't have to prepare it and get icked out. I'll look up to see what foods are also good for B vits.

Exercise is the only thing that works for me reliably. But more fruits & veggies instead of the sugary stuff is bound to help as well.

Sunlight on bare skin. Raw liver, not cooked. Cut in tiny frozen pieces and swallow whole. Ha - try that while nauseous. Good luck!!

Liver! I swear by it. I take it out of the freezer, let it sit for 10 minutes so it thaws just enough for me to slice off a couple slices. Then I chop it into large pill-sized pieces, sprinkle with Celtic salt & kelp & swallow a few pieces at a time whole with water. I don't know how many ounces I eat at once, but I cover a large saucer with the little pieces - probably about as much as 1.5-2 eggs.

The lift I get, both physical & emotional, is unbelievable.

Oh, CLO helps too, if taken regularly.

Any particular liver? Beef?
I was thinking of having some and thought I could just thaw three chicken livers and that would be about the same amount as you mentioned....but it sounds like you're referring to beef liver....

Yep, grass-fed beef liver. I don't know if I'd eat raw chicken liver...
