need some AIO recommendations

Thread Starter
I think I'm going to start using a lot more AIOs...I've always used fitteds/prefolds & wool because I wanted natural fibers, but with an intense baby and 6 months of sleep deprivation with no end in sight I've given up on being principled and I just want easy. So...please give me some AIO recommendations. I'm looking for something with aplix closures, preferably something that's available used for around $10 PPD, although a OS could run a little more. I really like the fit of the BumGenius AIO but it'd be nice if I could find something without a synthetic inner layer...not a deal breaker though. Any suggestions?

start out with a couple and see if you like them first. too many people leap and end up not liking their landing. If you like them, keep introducing them into the routine.

Becky @ www.lucyshopechest.com has been making premium wahm AIO's for about 9-10 years now.

A woman at my church makes great AIOs and AI2s. Here is her website but you have to contact her to see what she has available. I believe she charges around $10-12 new.

I really like the OS bumgenius 3.0. They are easy and never had a leak.

Thirsties AIO work well. I like that I can turn the diaper inside out and wash sometimes. I think Thirsties & BG both do that.

mrsjtc--your friend makes fitteds not AIOs?

kriket--i'd be interested in your feedback on this diaper's quality. I can't believe they're made in the USA

I liked the Dream Ex and Blue Penguin's SPOSO easy.

id like to know too! i did recently get and start using a diaper from the cloth diaper wholesale site ( www.clothdiaperwholesale.com) , and i am liking it so far. they have a 10$ white diaper, and the colors are 12$. i have had no leaks with this diaper yet, and i've used it almost every day since i bought it. they are a one size pocket made by the woman who makes the rocky mountain diaper co diapers.

i am trying to get some more aios and pockets in my (er dd's) stash too, after being a covers and prefolds gal for the last 5 years. i still have the cover/ pf love, but i will soon be watching another lil one in cloth and figured maybe the aios and pockets would make things a bit easier during the day. so far all ive tried are the bg pockets and the cdw pocket. im waiting on some green acre designs stuffable aios though, and have a whole list of stuff to test out. LOL. im a nut!

i use kidalog aio os.

http://www.kidalog.net/product_info....products_id=29

they were only $13 when i bought them. you can find them on ebay sometimes. i love them. but i have to make sure to change them or they wick out the side. of course, you have to change cloth more than sposie anyway. i change every 2 hours and am fine. i think they are great and have been using mine for 1.5 yrs.

the thing with aplix etc is the washing. no matter what they say or the washing tabs....they will get stuck together in the wash and/or dry cycle. mine have done pretty well though. i have about 2 dipes that need to have the aplix replaced.

these dipes use unbleached cotton and they are made in canada.

I recommend the Blue Penguin SposoEasy. They are cotton inside and the aplix laundry tabs are amazing.

i ended up ordering some of these too and was wondering what you thought of them kriket! i have one that works well, and one that wicks a bit. i actually just ordered one of the seconds diapers, and they sent me an extra one. not sure if that was on purpose or an accident, lol. so i basically paid 2.50 each plus shipping. they are both fine for around the house use. i just got them yesterday so we'll see how they hold up. the fleece seems a little flimsy, but i handwash my pockets and covers so it may hold up ok.

oh and i forgot to mention im talking about the sweet doll baby dipes here. lol.

I have one Thirsties AIO/AI2 and I like it, but I've only used it with an insert so far. I'd like to have a couple more AIO's for when out and about.

Kriket- the sweetdollbaby ones looked interesting to me. I'll be wondering what you think of them too.

inky leeuhh- the cloth diaper wholesale ones look good to me. Will you kindly post at some point in the future about whether or not you're still happy w/ them?

I'm totally in love with my prefolds and covers, but I like pockets (have knickernappies) and now AIO's for out of the house because of how quick and convenient they are, especially when only less than ideal places to change.

i tried both the sweet doll baby dipes, and the cdw dipes. the cdw dipes are by far better quality dipes than the sdbd diapers. they are also made by a reputable wahm. in fact, i just ordered about nine more of them. i stuff the cdw diaper with two preemie pfs and it holds very well for my two month old. the sweet doll baby diapers are functional, but i can't figure out how well they will hold up. ive been using them a ton the last few days to try and see how fast they will wear. the only real problem i can see with them is that the fleece inner is very thin. i hand wash my covers and pockets so that may help them last a bit longer. i ordered 2 2nds diapers though, and for 5$ a pop i guess they aren't bad. they fit a little on the big side- i don't think there's any way they'd fit on a baby any smaller than maybe 12 lbs. might be worth picking a couple up to use as wash day dipes. they do come in cute colors.

I like Mums Bums. They are very absorbant, yet dry quickly due to the design. They have hemp fleece soakers topped with microfleece.
