Very loud beginning reader ;)

So, ds#1 is making really good progress with his reading, finally. I think it is the combination between the Hooked on Phonics and the All About Spelling that is helping him put the pieces together. But, he reads aloud *so* loudly! I'm guessing this is a new-reader phase, but was wondering if anyone else out there has experienced it. It is as if he is yelling while he reads out loud, but not in an angry way, but just in a very loud way. Anyone else with a loud beginning reader?

That's cute. DD (4) doesn't do that, so I don't have any advice. Maybe he's excited to be reading?

That is really cute. I can just picture it. My dd practically whispers when she is unsure of something, so she can be just the opposite. Maybe he is really hearing the sounds, especially since you are doing the spelling, and he is mimicking the multi-sensory thing. IDK, but it will probably diminish as he gains fluency, since it is hard to read loudly and quickly

It is rather cute! I try to let him know that he doesn't have to read so loudly, but at the same time, trying to do it in a way that does not diminish his enthusiasm! He actually reminds me of his dad at times because his dad has a tendency to get a little loud when he's really into whatever he's explaining/talking about.
