So we rescued a dog - She's a Rott Shepherd mix. Very very sweet and loving. Looooves attention. Very gentle with the baby, even when the baby is not so gentle with her (working on that...) We've had her about 2 weeks. For the first 3-4 days she had a pooping in the house issue, especially when we left her alone. We tried crating her, and she'd break out of the crate, then poop...however this seemed to resolve itself.

My dad was over last weekend, and she was outside on a tether (with us) and she kinda freaked on him. Like wild crazy barking/growling/attack mode doggie. She wouldn't calm down, so we crated her. She's fine in the crate while we're home. Today she did it again, this time with a neighbor who came over to visit. I had her on a leash. I put her inside. When I came in, I found she's pooped (different place this time) and peed in the house. Neither of these people were doing anything remotely aggressive. The neighbor wasn't even walking toward us or looking at her.

She also seems to have issues with other dogs and is a terrible leash puller, but I can work on those. I'm really concerned about the random aggressive behavior. It doesn't help that she's kinda scary looking, which means people get really freaked when she does that.

So what can I do? Any suggestions?

She's making puppy dog eyes at me right now. Like please please play with me, I didnt mean it!
