Old yo yo quilt, what to do

Thread Starter
My MIL gave me an old yo yo quilt my FIL's grandmother made. It's about Full bed size. It's just the yoyos sewn together with holes in between. I'm trying to figure out what to do with it. I need to repair a few places which is nobig deal but I just don't know what to do with it. Any ideas would be great.
Thanks!

It depends how much you like it, I suppose. You could put it on a guest room bed or display it on a wall or hang it over the back of a chair if you like it. If you don't like the colors, store it for a child who might want it when they grow up.

I have an antique bedcover that I love, but felt it was too fragile to use as is. I tacked it to a duvet cover and use it. I've been thinking of attaching snaps to the back because for now I have to snip it and tack it back on each time I was the duvet cover.

Do you want to actually use it or do you want to just display it?

For useing it, decide on who's bed to put it on, and just make the bed.

If you want to just look at it, do you have a big enough wall to hang the whole thing? will you need to fold it to hang it on the wall? maybe sew a hanging sleeve on the back of it. They also make wooden frame things that you can drape quilts over if you don't have or wantto take up a wall with the quilt. You could fold it and drape it over a chair back or the couch back, it would get more use by doing that instead of on a hanging rack though.

Do you have any glass fronted cabinets, would you want to fold it and display iit in anything like that?

If you do go the route of folding it, no matter where you are putting it, be sure to get a routine where you unfold and refold it in different spots so that it doesn't get crease lines or fade lines where it is folded.

If you hang it or drape it over something for display don't pick a spot that is right nest to a window, put it sorta off to the side so that it does not get sun fade.
