Every morning, my spinach has been munched on by my new enemies...the snails. We have cans of beer, we have egg shells, oyster shells, acidic soil...but they still continue to slime their way to my spinach!!! Help!:

Don't quote me but...
Diatomaceous earth?
Or, I'm not sure whether this would work or not, but. Cut a plastic cup in half and put the part with both open ends around each spinach plant. Like a collar for the spinach. Tin cans or maybe even paper cups might work, but be too much of a pain (cutting tin isn't exactly fun, and paper cups would disintegrate at some point).

If you put a few pieces of scrap wood around, the slugs and snails will crawl under them during the day. Then you can turn the wood over and scrape them off into a bucket to dispose of.
