Talk to me about bookkeepers

Can you share how things work w/your bookkeeper? I need to turn my books over, but am not sure where to start. Since we are online only and I work from home, it's going to have to all be done virtually.

Any recs on WAHMs who do this would also be appreciated!

I am a WAHM bookkeeper. My MIL was awesome enough to give me a job that would allow me to work at home. I have been a bookkeeper for years and when I had my LO in Jan, she wanted me to be able to stay home so I could avoid daycare and could bond with my munchkin. Because not working was not an option and her bookkeeper walked out of the office on the last day of the fiscal year... here I am. (She told me I will be working for her forever... I can leave her son but I can never leave her. )
