My child has severe allergy and this was posted on the allergy forum I'm a part of but I had to share here since it's a reaction to vaccine.

I wish a news person would get their hands on this, someone like the today show or something that can get through to "mainstream people."

They would probably put some pro-vax spin on it though. With the allergy group the pro-vax people were saying how it was because he was a preemie, yoda, yoda, yoda...

Oh, this breaks my heart! Why do we never seem to hear about the reactions/deaths from vaccines, but we hear whenever anybody catches the cp, etc? Is the hep b shot known for serious adverse reactions?

So sorry mama.

So very sad. There's a mama here who lost her daughter to the Hep B vax.

that isn't her son, her post says that was posted in a allergy forum she belongs to.

That is so sad

My son reacted to the Hep B- thankfully no permanent damage- but this story is just SO sad.

People tend to think I'm crazy when they hear about a reaction to that vax- b/c it's so "uncommon".

This is incredibly sad... I'm still learning about vaccines and forming my own opinions about them, but this story makes me so glad that I chose to decline (at least for now) the hep B vaccine for my daughter. I was considering getting it for her at her one month appointment, but I think I may wait until I learn more...

so sad... what a strong family though - to share their story like this...

oh my gosh, the pain that poor family and baby endured. That one went right to my heart. oh boy. They determined that he was allergic to something in the shot then? I guess what I mean is that is an allergic reaction separate from another type of vax reaction?

oh my gosh...

Thank you for sharing this blog. Stories like this make me feel like someone punched my stomach and sucked the air out of me.

I have read far more vaccination injury stories than I have about injuries from the diseases themselves. It's experiences like these that really validate my decision not to vax.

OMG I am bawling. That is so horrific and sad. Prayers to that family.

It makes me sick that a vaccine for a disease that is NOT highly contagious (it is transmitted through sex or blood and is a disease of adults, NOT children) is even ON the childhood schedule at all, let alone on the first day of life.

Disgusting that nobody can seem to get that law changed (some have been trying) Totally revolting, and Ian is not the only one who has suffered from this vaccine - that really makes me angry that the manufacturer's don't care - they consider these poor babies acceptable losses.

Hep B shouldn't even be on the mandated schedule for children AT ALL!! IT used to be recommended only for health care workers who come into contact with blood and bodily fluids daily and adults at high risk (drug users, those having unprotected sex with multiple partners, etc) -- someone somewhere screwed up bigtime, and look who is paying the price - innocent babies who should be snuggling in their mamas arms, instead they are fighting for their lives in terrible suffering or permanently harmed forever with chronic conditions, for what? for a disease they never would have gotten anyway that was never any threat to them in the first place. Totally disgusting. Those who are on the fence about hep B vaccine for your baby: it should be one of the easiest ones to rule out!!! Do your research and do not allow it into your baby!!
