Lots of changes....

So with baby #3 on the way we have a lot of things to think about. We need a bigger house. We need a new car. I'm definitely looking to get a job (different from the one I was already almost hired for because I won't be able to do the training pregnant.)

What kind of changes is this pregnancy/baby making for you?

Well, thankfully we're moving anyway...renting a house with three bedrooms (although my two will be in a room by themselves and the new baby will be with us). We have a minivan, so we're set there. The biggest change for me will be going back to school. I was going to start this December at Frontier, but I cannot possibly now...I won't even make it through the first semester. That really bums me out. Also, I'll be going back to work full time after this one is born, where I've only gone back part time in the past. My husband stays at home with the kids and will be bottle-feeding expressed milk while I'm at work.

I'm hoping to get a job in my Drs. office right now as a front desk clerk. It would be full-time 8-5 M-Th and 8am-12pm on Fridays, but I get an hour for lunch and would be able to drive home for lunch (12pm-1pm) and to nurse the baby so we're looking at needing about 3 bottles of milk expressed a day? And of course as he/she gets older I could probably get away with nursing right before I leave-lunch time- and right when I get home and not need to nurse. We'll probably do most of our nursing in the evenings/at night.

Now I just have to keep my fingers crossed that they'll let me have the job!

We live in a 3 bedroom thankfully, we have a mini-van...right now we just need to move James into his big boy bed and then figure out closet space (we only have 3 itty bitty closets, it's a VERY old house).

I'm pretty sure I have good job security, especially if I keep popping out babies

Well we were shopping for a second car, I don't know if that is still on the table for us right now. We may have to just repair the one we have now and be satisfied or look for a much less expensive second car and still repair the current one. We will definetly have to move. We are renting a small apartment now and there is no way that four of us will comfortable fit in here. Especially when you add baby stuff in. There is simply no room for that here. The job I have currently doesn't seem to have anything in the employee handbook about maternity leave. Uugh. With my last pregnacy I was easily able to take six months of unpaid maternity leave. It was the company max and the company had well over fifty employees. This time I think my company has about thirty employees and no personnel office. I'm worried.

We are closet challenged too. I do a lot of seaonal swapping (if you're notngoing to wear it it goes in a storage bin), also under the bed (IKEA has great under bed storage cheap) and of course we always say yes to free or cheap dressers.

Our changes are miimal..but I was realizing I need to buy baby things back..we thought we were done. I was sappy enough to save most of the baby clothes and most of the maternity clothes. However, we got rid of the crib, bassinet, swing, exersaucer. Now I'm debating whether we'll ever even use a crib. Maybe we should just buy a pack and play. I have a LOT of relatives and most have kids so i'm sure i'll be passed some hand me downs.

We conceived on the day we closed on our first house! Fitting. We were living in a 765 sq ft apartment, and our new place is 1150 sq ft! It seems HUGE to me. I was ready to have a baby in our old place, so this is definitely sufficient. We also just bought a minivan in November after dh's beater finally bit the dust. so i guess we were just preemptive.

We have some changes to make, but they were partly in preparation for having a baby. We already have all the baby stuff - crib, changing table, dressers, nursery (that is not quite finished, but may be soon) and everything. We've thought about my getting a different car because I have a 2 door. However, I've had the carseat in the back ebfore, and I think it will be fine. Garrin's car is a 4 door, so if I take the baby more, we can always just switch cars.

We have a lot fo renovations to do on our house. We are debating on whether to buy something new, build something new on our land or just fix our house. I am going to be pressing Garrin towards renovating because I would like to go to working part time once the baby gets here. I'll have to talk him into that slowly, though.
