We saw this movie last weekend and me, DH, and 10yo SD LOVED IT!!! My 3yo got bored quite a bit though. It wasn't too scary for him, the scary parts were actually about the only parts that held his attention.

I want a dog named Dug now too

Me and my 4.10yo saw this in 3D recently. I know I'm late in responding to this thread, but....oh, well.

I admit I cried like a baby all during the first part. Man, they know how to hit those emotional buttons!! Lol. But I'm glad there was so much humor (for us, anyway) in the second half to make up for that.

I actually liked the "sadness" being in a kids movie. It gets my kid asking questions about what's going on and why they're sad. For my kid that a good thing because I think he's ready for the answers.

He really enjoyed the movie...I honestly thought he was gonna get bored.

The one thing I was dissapointed with was the 3D. I felt gipped that I paid for 3D and it wasn't all that visually 3D stimulating. Nothing like Monsters Vs. Aliens.

We just saw it last week - I wish somebody would have told me that I was going to cry through most of the movie! I thought it was a really sweet story.

It just came out here last week and ds (nearly 8) and I went to see it right away. He thought it was "wonderful" and I really liked it too. I had to go nick some tp from the bathroom during the intermission since I had run out of kleenex. The infertility is communicated in a brief and subtle way but it is a part of carl's story and difficult to forget. I was glad it was in there though (we have been experiencing that particular heartbreak for over 6 years, just mentioning this so noone thinks I just found it entertaining).
