When I first found out I had a bowl of Chocolate Ice Cream :P

I'm trying really hard to stick to the diet (just switching to a maintainance phase) I have been on. Its not too bad. I've been on a salad kick the last two days. I'm on my second salad today right now :

So what are you eating?

I went to a baby shower so I ate Chicken Salad and croissants. hehe Then I had angel food cake with strawberries and real whipped cream. Last night I ate dark choco/ white choc ice cream with fresh strawberries. I figured I usually drink wine with dinner and it's about the same number of calories Are we allowed the extra 300 calories this early???

Hope you feel better soon!!

I've never had much m/s...I did throw up chicken noodle soup with DS1 and I haven't been able to eat it since. I don't remember ever throwing up, but I was nauseas and had dizzy spells on occasion with DS2. I can't wait to see what this one throws me

Right this second I'm eating a pastrami, ham, and turkey with muenster cheese and mustard on wheat sandwich. I have been having a bit of an aversion to sweets, believe it or not, but fruit is O.K. I have been eating cherries for two days (they're in season here and SO cheap!), and smoothies on these hot days. Oh, and salty stuff, specifically kalamata olives. Not into chips and stuff like that, just olives.

P.S. Oh, and the aversion to coffee has already started! Unbelievable! As you see in my siggy, I live off of the stuff!

I'm actually eating really healthy. I've always tried to, but now I'm finding it easier to stay on track, with this motivation of wanting to make a really healthy little one. So, it's been vegetables (raw & cooked), fruit, whole grains, meat, eggs, and supplements. No coffee, sugar, or sweets. Hopefully, I can keep this up. I'm undecided on what I think about dairy.

I just made over easy/medium eggs (cage free, organic) -- runny but my midwife said it's fine if I know where the eggs come from and they are warm. I have been CRAVING this, so it's good to know that I can eat it. Also, I had some organic cherries, asparagus, and an english muffin :

The idea of solid food is kind of grossing me out the past few days. So right now I"m drinking lots of carrot juice & eating apple sauce, & soup. By the end of the day I can stomach a small meal.

All I have wanted to do is eat, but then I get extremely bloated no matter what it is, so I feel like a balloon expanding.

So far, I have been killing salads (with every salad topping I can think of), fruit smoothies, and pickles-as cliche as that is! And I REALLY want to drink the 2 liters of coke in the fridge, and I normally don't care one way or another, so I'm ignoring that caffeine trap!

I have wanted kalamata olives, granny smith apples, bread/noodles/starchy stuff, salt and vinegar chips...a lot of sour and salty. NO sweets at all, they make me hurl almost instantly, and I have a glass of hempmilk/cow milk before bed and it seems to help with the morning nausea. I will take anything as I have had weeks of being super nauseated!

I haven't had any cravings and haven't changed much just been focusing on increasing my (organic) veggie intake. I can't wait till my garden starts really producing.

Other than that I have been eating a ton of seafood (all freshly caught/gathered by family and friends). There was quite the debate about bbq oysters being safe for pregnancy (no one knows I'm pregnant so I didn't weigh in on that debate).

I just got a book called Feed the Belly. It's a good read, I won't take it all to heart but I liked it.

I've been eating lots of local organic eggs, cheese sticks, cottage cheese, and fruit. Especially sweet things I have been having an aversion to. Pre pregnancy I would have a small square of dark chocolate after supper or other times but now I have no desire for that. Cucumbers and hummus are pretty good now too.

I haven't changed my normal eating at all, other than to give up alcohol and my afternoon coffee. I usually eat pretty healthy. We have a CSA share, so we're eating lots of kale and other greens and farm eggs. I'm really hoping I don't have the "morning" sickness like I did before--when all my healthy eating flew out the window for the entire rest of the trimester. I'd just eat whatever I could stand the thought of. Saltine crackers one day, chocolate syrup the next. If I thought I could keep it down, I tried it. I lost ten pounds, eek! It'll be hard to use up our CSA if I'm sick this time, which is an extra reason I hope I'm not!

A lot of avocado! A new sandwich store opened up near by, and I order the # 30 almost every day for lunch (chicken, avocado, thai sauce and cashews, basil.)

Other then that, normal. I feel fine right now, I have no aversions ...

I have no desire whatsoever to eat right now (6w5d), but I find that the more I eat the less nauseous I feel. That is the way my last pregnancy was, too. I didn't realize it until later in the pregnancy, but my body seems to really need a lot of calories to support a pregnancy (I tend to get low blood sugar easily, and had trouble gaining enough weight).

I don't mind too much eating fruit and brown rice. I've been forcing down some meat since protein seems to really help sustain my blood sugar. I've also been eating a lot of yogurt since it is easy (I don't have to chew! When I have to chew it takes me forever to eat when pregnant! I don't know what the deal is with that.)

I hated food by the end of my last pregnancy, and I'm really hoping I can avoid that somehow this time.

Having a hard time eating the past few days due to nausea, but I do have a few foods that my mouth doesn't find completely offensive.

-- mixed raw nuts
-- trader joes' peanut butter crackers
-- raw carrots
-- peaches
-- bananas

That's about it at the moment.

The only thing I'm craving is red meat... but the idea of looking at it or smelling it raw... or touching it... *shudder*

For some reason, this homemade ramen (I use dried soba noodles instead of egg) has been totally hitting the spot lately. Wicked easy, no chopping required (unless you want to add scallions).

I've also been digging on soy yogurt, fresh berries, these amazing apples from NZ (my DH finally convinced me to eat one ), cooked greens, pickles (I know, cliche), potato chips, salad with balsamic vinaigrette, tofurkey sandwiches with fresh basil, fresh baby carrots from our CSA...

Looking back, I see lots of stuff that has a kind of "sour" edge to it (pickles, yogurt, vinaigrette, raspberries). Oh and salt.

Cream cheese on crackers. And more cream cheese

Oh, and chips and Salsa. There's a store near here that makes a wicked salsa with lots of cilantro. I can't get enough!
