line drying = shot elastic?

Since I started hanging my diapers to dry on a line (I used a rack before) some of my fitteds have had the elastic get stretched out. I've only noticed it recently, in some older fitteds as well as a less than one year old swaddlebees pocket. The swaddlebees was fine when my son wore it yesterday, and when I brought it in off the line the elastic was ruined.

Hs anyone else has this happen? Am I crazy or is it really connected?

I haven't seen a link- but some of the brands of diapers I have, the elastic has held up much better than other brands. I have some pockets that are going through kid #2 right now and the elastic is still fine, while some of my fitteds that are only a year old have elastic that is worn out.

Have you started using vinegar? That killed my elastic in a matter of a month. I don't see why line drying would make a difference, but maybe someone else will know!

I specifically line dry to avoid wear on my elastic!
