housebroken dog (of 4 years) suddenly peeing inside???

Anyone know what could be causing this? My husband thought that maybe it was a break in our routine and she was acting out because we haven't been able to walk her as much as we have been. But I don't think that's the case. She rarely pees on walks anyway (never has) and she's been peeing on the only carpet we have in our house -- by the back door. We let her out whenever she wants, even through out the night if she comes to wake us.
Not sure what could be causing this.
Has anyone one else had a similar problem???

With a dog that was housebroken before, the first step is always a vet visit and a urinalysis. Once she is cleared on that front, consider other causes. In the meantime just make sure you are using an enzymatic cleaner, something like Nature's Miracle to clean up the spots.
